Shesh Sparsh: Ensuring Dignity in Every Farewell
Shesh Sparsh: Ensuring Dignity in Every Farewell
Date: Oct. 25, 2024
In our society, there is an often overlooked yet deeply meaningful reality—
After someone passes away, arranging a proper ritual washing (ghusl) can be a serious challenge, especially for those who are poor and marginalized.
Many hospitals do not have adequate facilities for washing deceased bodies. As a result, in some cases, this sacred process is carried out in open or unsuitable spaces, affecting the dignity that every person deserves in their final moments
To respond to this need, the Shamsul Hoque Foundation introduced a compassionate initiative—“Shesh Sparsh” (The Final Touch).
Now operating at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, this program offers free body washing services, along with kafan (shroud) and burial preparation for those in need.
This initiative goes beyond basic service—
It reflects a heartfelt commitment to ensuring every individual is laid to rest with honor and dignity. Even a small contribution from you can help preserve someone’s dignity in their final journey.
Join us in this meaningful cause.
