Darul Falah Madrasa, located in Ward No. 6 of Bhokraha in Sunsari District, a remote area of Nepal where only 5% of the population is Muslim, is a small institution that serves as both an orphanage and a Hifz (Qur’an memorization) center—a haven for the children in the surrounding area. With around 250 students, the madrasa, along with the local community, aspires to build a beautiful mosque—a sanctuary that will serve as a center for worship, education, and da'wah. They aspire to share the peaceful message of Islam with their non-Muslim brothers and sisters in the region, in shaa Allah. Indeed, Allah is the best of helpers. May we also be part of this noble effort and help sow the seeds of education and unity within the Muslim Ummah!!
This year, by the mercy of Allah, we had the honor of performing Qurbani at Madrasa Darul Falah, located in the remote region of Bhokraha, Ward 6, Sunsari District, Nepal—a place where Muslims make up barely 5% of the population.
In this underprivileged area, the Qurbani was more than just a ritual—it was a source of joy, nourishment, and unity. For many of the 250 orphan and Hifz students at the madrasa, along with the surrounding community, meat is a rare luxury. On Eid day, smiles lit up their faces as fresh, halal meat was distributed—not just to students, but also to nearby families in need.
This was not just an act of sacrifice. It was a reminder of what Eid-ul-Adha truly represents:
➡️ Obedience to Allah
➡️ Care for the less fortunate
➡️ Strengthening our ties as one Ummah
Together with the local madrasa staff, we ensured the Qurbani was done according to proper Islamic guidelines. The meat was distributed fairly and generously. The joy on the children’s faces, the heartfelt duas of the villagers—these were the true rewards of our effort. To all who supported or made this possible—may Allah accept your Qurbani and reward you immensely. And to those reading this:
Let us continue supporting such efforts in forgotten corners of the Ummah. Places where a simple act of charity becomes a lifelong memory for those who receive it.
May our sacrifices always bring us closer to Allah and to one another.
