A 5-liter bottle of water costs 90 taka. But at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, around 5,000 liters of clean drinking water are being provided completely free of charge to patients every day!
We’ve seen patients with our own eyes who struggle to buy even 2 liters of water and stretch it over two days. However, a patient and their attendants need at least 4 liters of drinking water daily.
In hospitals like Chattogram Medical and other public hospitals across the country, crores of taka are spent daily just on drinking water. Unfortunately, many poor patients simply cannot afford to buy water.
Recognizing this harsh reality, the Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation is supplying 5,000 liters of pure water daily for free at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
To ensure that attendants don’t need to leave the ward in search of water, a water plant has been installed on every floor of the new hospital building.
This initiative is not limited to Chattogram Medical—our vision is to provide free, pure drinking water in every government hospital in the country so that no patient or their family ever suffers due to lack of water.
If you’re interested in helping us install more pure water plants, please donate through the link mentioned in the comments (write "Purpose: Pure water plant") or WhatsApp us at 01841040545.
