A profound example of humanitarian service—
A respected donor has gifted essential supplies for our modern corpse-washing facility, “Shesh Sparsh” (The Final Touch).
In our society, there is a rarely spoken but deeply important reality—
When someone passes away, the process of giving them a proper ghusl (ritual body wash before burial) often becomes difficult and undignified, especially for the poor and marginalized.
✅ Many hospitals lack proper facilities for body washing.
✅ It’s hard to find trained individuals to perform ghusl, especially for deceased women.
✅ In some areas, bodies are washed in open spaces due to the absence of proper arrangements.
To address this harsh reality, the Shamsul Hoque Foundation launched a unique and compassionate initiative:
“Shesh Sparsh”—The ”Final Touch.”
Currently operating at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, this project offers completely free body washing services, including kafan (shroud) and burial preparation for the underprivileged and needy. This initiative is more than just a service.
It is a solemn effort to ensure a person is given a dignified farewell after death.
A small contribution from you can become the greatest source of peace for someone’s final moments.
Our heartfelt thanks and prayers go to the generous donor who has supported “Shesh Sparsh” with essential materials. Let us come together to honor the departed with dignity.
