Building Hope in Nepal

By the grace of Allah, the foundation stone of the very first mosque under the initiative of the Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation has been laid today in Nepal, a country with only a 5% Muslim population - Alhamdulillah again!

The foundation stone of Masjid-e-Razzak was laid by Engineer Muhammad Nasir Uddin, Chairman of the Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation, in Inarwa, Sunsari District of Biratnagar, Nepal. The event was attended by the local Member of Parliament, Ward Chairman, and other respected local dignitaries.

Construction materials have already started arriving on-site, and full-scale construction will begin tomorrow, InshaAllah!

In his speech, the foundation’s chairman expressed hope that this mosque will greatly benefit the adjacent Madrasah Falahiyah, which previously lacked a mosque. He also stated that this mosque would become a central hub for delivering the message of Islam to the 95% non-Muslim population in the region.

Local MP Dr. Israel extended heartfelt thanks to the foundation for this noble effort.

Ilyas Falahi Ansari, chairman of Madrasah Falahiyah, emotionally shared that although they have been operating a small madrasa with great hardship for many years, they never had a mosque. Now, with this long-awaited mosque being built, the community will finally have a place for Friday prayers and both Eid congregations. He prayed sincerely for all the donors and well-wishers of the foundation.

If funds are sufficient, the foundation of the mosque is expected to be completed within 1 month and the entire mosque construction within 6 months, InshaAllah!
