Orphanage in Kathmandu

The only orphanage in Kathmandu for Muslim children is the Madrasa Al-Jamiatul Islamia Darul Yatama. A beacon of Islamic education and hope in a country where 95% of the population follows other faiths.

We pray that Allah (SWT) blesses these young students to become righteous callers to Islam (Da'ees) in the future, spreading the divine guidance of the Qur’an with wisdom, compassion, and resilience.

Currently, this is a boys' madrasa. However, there is a noble and much-needed plan to establish a girls' madrasa and orphanage in the same compound, in a proposed building adjacent to the current one. May Allah make this vision easy and successful, Ameen.

There is a special opportunity for Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). A Hindu family that owns the building connected to the madrasa has expressed willingness to sell it. If any individual or organization steps forward to purchase this building to establish a girls' madrasa and orphanage, it would be a truly impactful act of charity and a lasting legacy, Insha'Allah.
