This 19-year-old girl from Sirajganj has lived a life of pain and isolation. From childhood, the children around her were afraid to approach her because of a rare and severe skin disease she was born with. In her entire 19 years of life, she never had the chance to attend school—not even for a single day.
Her father, a day laborer, never had the means to take her to a doctor, even once. When we visited her home in Belkuchi Road, Sirajganj, we noticed something beautiful—her mother gently combing her hair and lovingly tying it with a colorful rubber band. If you look closely, you too will see the tender touch of a mother’s love in that simple act.
Because no matter how a child is, in a mother’s eyes, they are always a prince or a princess.
Alhamdulillah, with the support of Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation, we have already consulted a specialist cosmetic dermatologist and aesthetic surgeon in Chattogram. Very soon, Julekha and her family will be traveling to Chattogram for medical treatment, Insha’Allah.
We don’t know how much this complicated disease can be cured, but at least the specialist doctor will see her, conduct the necessary tests, and begin treatment. Truly, ultimate healing comes only from Allah, the Most Merciful.
Please keep Julekha in your heartfelt duas (prayers).
