Qurbani for Gaza 2026
Qurbani for Gaza 2026
Date: June 2, 2026
While Muslims around the world celebrate the blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha, countless people in war-torn Gaza continue to endure fear, uncertainty, and hunger. Ongoing conflict has left thousands of families grieving the loss of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. Under such difficult circumstances, the joy of Eid remains a distant dream for many.
To share the spirit and joy of Eid with these oppressed and suffering communities, Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation has organized Qurbani programs in Egypt and the Khan Younis area of Gaza for the past three years. The Foundation’s Chairman, Engineer Muhammad Nasir Uddin, personally oversees and coordinates this humanitarian initiative on the ground. This year was no exception. With the dedicated support of volunteers in Egypt and Gaza, the Qurbani program was successfully carried out once again.
For this year’s program, three large camels and several sheep were sacrificed. Following the Qurbani, the meat was processed and distributed among approximately 500 vulnerable families in Gaza, with each family receiving 3 kilograms of meat.
Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all donors and well-wishers at home and abroad whose generous support made it possible to bring the joy of Eid al-Adha to the people of Gaza.
