Project Hope: A Small Help Can Bring a Big Smile

Project Hope: A Small Help Can Bring a Big Smile

Date: Feb. 14, 2026

Every child deserves security, love and the chance to dream. Yet for many orphaned children, even basic needs remain uncertain. With compassion at its heart, Alhaj Shamsul Haque Foundation (ASH Foundation), in partnership with the UK-based Send A Little Hope, launched “Project Hope” a promise to stand beside these children when they need it most.

Through this initiative, 100 orphaned children receive BDT 3,360 per month for one year, directly transferred through secure electronic banking. Every month, BDT 300,000 reaches their hands, helping ensure food on the table, access to education and support for daily necessities. The children were selected through a transparent and impartial process from different regions of Bangladesh. The journey of Project Hope officially began on 16 December 2025.

On 6 February, 2026 ASH Foundation and Send A Little Hope jointly organized “Orphankind, Orphan Support Program 2026” at Al Humaira (RA.) Mohila Fadil (Degree) Madrasa. The session focused on health and hygiene awareness, teaching children proper hand-washing practices and the importance of cleanliness. A drawing activity filled the room with colors and laughter, nurturing creativity and confidence. Hand-washing soap was also distributed, turning lessons into lasting habits.

The program was attended by Professor Mohammad Shahabuddin of the University of Chittagong, along with Mujahidul Islam, CEO of Send A Little Hope and Engineer Mohammad Nasir Uddin, President of Alhaj Shamsul Haque Foundation. In his heartfelt remarks, Professor Shahabuddin reminded everyone that these innocent children are the future of tomorrow and initiatives like this help shape that future with hope and dignity.

Project Hope is not just a program. It is a light in the darkness, a commitment to care, respect and a brighter tomorrow for every child it touches.
